How can i bleach my teeth to a whiter shade?

I used crest whitestrips and they worked. Just go to some place like CVS, Duane Reade, or Walgreens and buy them and follow the instructions.

I am only getting 2 porcelain veneers next to my two front teeth and my dentist has given me the option to bleach my teeth first, so that my teeth (with the veneers) will be whiter. Personally, I love the idea, but he said that veneers won’t bleach or change color. So what if I bleach my teeth first and my teeth go back to the original color(or maybe it doesn’t do that?). Then my veneers will be a lighter color than my actual teeth right? Oh my goodness, I am so confused. Please help me!

It is usually best to whiten your teeth prior to having permanent restorations, such as veneers, done. You can’t bleach them later as the veneers do not change color, so now is your chance. Also, if you have the dental office make you trays then you should be able to continue to use those for maintenance even after your veneers are placed, so that you don’t have to be worried about the rest of your teeth getting darker. Also, you only have to whiten to a shade that you feel comfortable with, you don’t have to have fluorescent white teeth.

I accidentally got tooth whitening bleach on my gums and now they’re white. What should I do?

I got tooth whitening stuff from my dentist. I put the moulds on and after 5 minutes it hurt quite a bit. i looked in the mirror and saw that my gums were white. I quickly took the moulds off and wiped off the bleach so that there was none left on my gums but they are still white. What should I do?

Nothing. It’s the peroxide and it will go away. The same thing would have happened if you had brushed your teeth with liquid peroxide. Give it 20 minutes or so, rinsing your mouth with plain water may speed the process.

Should I brush my teeth with toothpaste after or before I brush it with teeth bleach?

Its called Plus white 5 minute Bleach whitening gel….. And I can use it with a tray,a tooth brush,or cotton swab…. I use it with a tooth brush and its a bleaching gel.

Personally, I think you should brush your teeth with toothpaste before using teeth bleach. Toothpaste will get rid of gunk on your teeth which will get bleached if left on them. Also, if you bleach before toothpaste, you will just brush off the bleach and defeat the purpose. My answer: toothpaste first, bleach last.

I have the trays, made for me by a dentist, but the bleaching solutions aren’t working. I heard that some brands are better than others… If your teeth got significantly whiter with bleaching trays, could you please let me know what brand and what strength your bleach was? Also, did you use hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide? Thanks so much!

Your tray may not be fitting properly or you are not putting enough solution in it. Have your dentist check this. He/she should also be monitoring your progress.

How long have you been using it? If it is only a few days, you may not see a difference yet. Also, you cannot eat or drink anything while the tray is in your mouth as this will weaken the peroxide solution.

I used this method when it was first available in the dental filed, almost 20 yrs ago. I had very good results and now just do touch ups periodically. I don’t want glow in the dark teeth because it doen’t look natural. I used Opalessence then but now I use NightWhite 16%. Sometimes I use 22% but that causes such sensitivity that i stay away from it if I can. Most products that dentists use are made of a carbamide and hydrogen peroxide mixture.
