Bleaching? Lumineers?

Does anyone know of a dental office which offers bleaching and lumineers at a decent price? I’m only a college student so there is a budget.. Oh I live in the OC by the way. Thanks for your help!

Hi,
If your teeth are in nice shape and good alignment, bleaching will be a lot more economical than Lumineers.
Sometimes you can find an advertisement to an office that will give you the bleaching treatment free if you have an exam, x-rays and a cleaning. We do, and I know several offices that do the same.
As far as Lumineers is concerned, be aware that it is advertised heavily because it is a great attention getter since no one likes their teeth filed down to place veneers, but without some amount of tooth reduction, Lumineers only works and looks good in a few special cases where the person has short teeth and spaces between them.
Good luck!
Hope this helped.

Whats the best way to get your teeth white without strips?

i want white teeth before school. My Friend and i hate our teeth. So What do u think?

/Rembrandt (not sure of the spelling) makes a whitening toothpaste as well as other whitening products. They are sold in any pharmacy and most super markets. Rated pretty good in tests.

I don’t know why you don’t want to try strips. Crest came out with new ones that stay on better now and it says you can even drink liquids, etc. while they are on your teeth. I haven’t tried them though yet.

What’s the best way to whiten my teeth at home? I know tooth whitening toothpaste doesn’t actually work

since it’s not on your teeth long enough for the whitening agents to work.
Thanks guys. My teeth are sensitive so how did you use hydrogen peroxide and baking soda? Did you just brush your teeth with it, rinse your teeth with it…?

try crest whitestrips. i used them last february and the results are just starting to fade. the only downside is a little bit of tooth sensitivity, other than that they work really well and are a steal at just 25 dollars.

Does bleaching fix tooth trauma?

My friend fell on her face when she was young and it created yellow stains in her teeth. I heard bleaching can get rid of this, is that true?

Internal bleaching could be done, that’s done inside the tooth structure and in one dental visit, at the same time she would need to bleach the rest of her teeth (through bleach trays, laser or any other method offered by a dental professional) so that they will all have the same color. If this doesn’t give the result expected by the patient then there are restorations as the ones mentioned above that could be used. Hope this helps!

Should I bleach my teeth before getting porcelain veneers?

I am only getting 2 porcelain veneers next to my two front teeth and my dentist has given me the option to bleach my teeth first, so that my teeth (with the veneers) will be whiter. Personally, I love the idea, but he said that veneers won’t bleach or change color. So what if I bleach my teeth first and my teeth go back to the original color(or maybe it doesn’t do that?). Then my veneers will be a lighter color than my actual teeth right? Oh my goodness, I am so confused. Please help me!

It is usually best to whiten your teeth prior to having permanent restorations, such as veneers, done. You can’t bleach them later as the veneers do not change color, so now is your chance. Also, if you have the dental office make you trays then you should be able to continue to use those for maintenance even after your veneers are placed, so that you don’t have to be worried about the rest of your teeth getting darker. Also, you only have to whiten to a shade that you feel comfortable with, you don’t have to have fluorescent white teeth.

Is it a good idea to use teeth whitening products while you have braces?

I was just wondering if using teeth whitening toothpaste or crest whitestrips would work well? Or would there be lots of spots when your braces came off? Thanks!

If you are doing anything over the counter, the lightening will be minimal, so the difference should not be too noticeable. Plus, the spots on your teeth covered by the braces, might be a bit lighter to begin with since they were covered by bonding/braces while the rest of your teeth were exposed to staining elements (smoke, beverages, food). If you were planning on doing anything drastic at the dentist, which would usually cost hundreds or thousands, such as laser whitening, harsh chemical lightening, then I would hold off till your braces are off. But I’m not sure that a dentist would be able to perform these treatments effectively with braces still on.
