Teeth bleaching before/after implant or bridge?
I am having a tooth extracted, after which I will need either a bridge or implant. But I also have teeth that are rather yellow, and I want to get them bleached. If I get the bridge put in before the bleaching, will there be a problem from mis-matched colors?
Or should I get the bleaching done first? That seems backwards to me, since the color is so much less important than replacing the tooth. But if it’s necessary, that’s the way I’ll go.
BEST TO BLEACH PRIOR TO FINAL RESTORATION BECAUSE ONCE MADE THE COLOR OF THE PORCELAIN CAN’T BE BLEACHED OR CHANGED.
Definately bleach otherwise you will always have part of your tooth a completely different colour to the rest and it will look awful x

Look at it this way…the color of your natural teeth can be bleached whiter, however, an implant or bridge once in place, will not change color. It is usually the choice of patients to bleach first, then get the bridge/implant to match.

Otherwise you will have nice white teeth with a mismatched bridge or implant.
Unfortunately it does seem backwards, it’s one of those annoying situations.
