has anyone ever bleeched their teeth?

im thinking of bleeching my teeth with either whitning trays of zoom at my dentist office but i wanna no if its worth the money and what side effects it may come with

My friend did (professionally) and she did not like the pain of the bleech hitting her gums at all. She uses the crest whitening strips now.

  1. ross does it from friends, not the ideal thing to do. i know osmeone in real life, they got it done many times and they no longer have some of their teeth lol. and its makes it obvious you whitened them and it looks dumb, dont do it!

  3. well, whitening trays and crest whitestrips pretty much are the same thing.
I heard that they can cause more sensitivity of the teeth. That’s the major one.

  6. i have yellowish teeth and i tried crest whitening trays. they turned my gums white, but it goes away. my gums did however turn red after a couple uses and become very sensitive. i only did it for 3 days because at that point my gums were bleeding. after that i started getting brown stains on my teeth i had to buff off daily. it was gross. it makes me wonder if it messed up my enamel or something. so now i have to use mouthwash on occasion cause it keeps that brown buildup from showing up.

    not worth my money..

  7. being a dentist i can tell you many have been happy with the out come, and no theres really no difference. some believe there teeth have become more sensitive, i can honestly say i have never noticed. if you want a bright smile than go for it. i havnt seen your teeth but if there just an off white most dentist will tell you not too. regardless what you do floss twice a day lol

  9. There are major differences between whitening trays and Crest Whitestrips. When using the trays, the bleach you obtain from your dentist is FAR STRONGER than what is on the Crest whitestrips. I use dental trays and bleach from my denist. My teeth look FABULOUS…..no weird "too white" color. Depending on your teeth, the bleach may make your teeth more sensitive to hot/cold. I bleach mine and the look is TOTALLY natural & wonderful!!
Also, to those that said you will lose your teeth, the losing of your teeth bit has NOTHING to do with the bleaching……..tooth loss is due to bone deterioration. I have bleached my teeth for years without ANY problems!!
