What is an effective tooth bleaching/whitening procedure from home besides baking soda?

I can’t imagine you can use "bleach" but the outside options are sooo expensive. Any answers?

"The best home methods are baking soda or hydrogen peroxide. "

Baking soda can really ruin your teeth over time because it’s
so gritty.

Hydrogen Peroxide is a ‘bleach’. Many dentists and their assistants will recommend hydrogen peroxide to you.

I have been told however that the problem with hydrogen peroxide is that it will turn your tongue brown. Your tongue has these little hairs on it. The hydrogen peroxide aids in their growth.

If you want a little furry rug on your tongue then go the hydrogen peroxide route.

Neither method is a suitable replacement for brushing your teeth
and flossing.

" eating fresh crunchy veggies and fruits such as: carrots, broccoli, celery, apples, strawberries, and cucumbers can help whiten your teeth. I’ve worked in the dental field for years and have seen many teeth damaged because people thought that brushing with baking soda or eating lemons whitened their teeth."

The only one i have heard of is baking soda but if you get the little sand hourglass thingy and tip it over thenbrush your teeth the whole time its going till all the sand is in the bottom two to three times a day or even 1 time a day and brush them regular the other time your teeth will be noticably whiter

oh yeah and if you rinse your mouth out after eating food

Well there aren’t really any home remedies for tooth whitening. A good over the counter product to try though is Crest Whitestrips I’ve seen quite a few people get a favorable result from them. However be aware if your teeth are sensitve to cold, whitening products can make that worse.

To avoid having your teeth stain further shy away from things like cola, tea, coffee, dark juices and red wine. Rinsing w/ water right after drinking any of these would also help prevent stain.

    Good luck.

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and
are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural
tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries
but certain precautions have to be taken.
